What is the Ignite Cup?

The in-season tournament is played across 20 Wednesday night games, with every result counting towards the regular season ladder. A unique quarter-by-quarter scoring system decides a separate Ignite Cup ladder.

For NBL27, the tournament evolves into a four-team Ignite Cup Finals Series at AIS Arena in Canberra. The teams will battle it out for a share of $550,000 in prize money, the largest in League history and up from last season's $400,000.

Talking points

Next test

The Kings continue their rough road stretch with a tough away game against the Perth Wildcats.

After they struggled to get it done against Melbourne on Sunday, Kendric Davis will be hoping to lead a bounce-back performance against the Wildcats.

With Kristian Doolittle back from injury, this Perth team is putting together a dream start to its season, and knocking off the reigning champs will further increase its confidence.

Feeling right at home

Brandon Knight found the perfect way to introduce himself to his new fan base, leading the comeback against United and hitting the game-winning jump shot.

As the star guard continues to find his spots amongst this talented lineup, it’s his off-court presence that seems to mesh perfectly with what the Wildcats are trying to build.

After going head-to-head with Cole Anthony last week, Knight’s next job is to limit Davis, who is coming off one of his toughest games in a Kings jersey.
