Aussies Abroad: Boomers star traded

Australian big man Duop Reath has a new NBA home, after being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday AEDT.

Reath, who played 146 games across three seasons with the Blazers, and two future second-round picks were exchanged for Atlanta guard Vit Krejci.

The move to Atlanta for Reath, who recently underwent surgery to fix a stress fracture in his foot, sees him team up with Australian Boomers teammate Dyson Daniels.

The 29-year-old played one season and 30 games with the Illawarra Hawks during the 2021-22 season.
