ESPN’s Olgun Uluc is reporting that Luke Travers has been waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Luke Travers' time with the Cleveland Cavaliers looks to be over, after the NBA franchise reportedly waived him on Sunday AEDT.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, the West Australian was waived from his two-way deal with the Cavaliers as part of a three-way trade that saw De'Andre Hunter go to Sacramento, Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis to the Cavs and Dario Saric landing in Chicago.

Travers, who was selected with the 56th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, signed with Cleveland in August 2024 and has spent the majority of the past two seasons playing with the Charge, the franchise’s G League affiliate.

This season, Travers has averaged 18.1 points, 9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in his 14 appearances with the Charge.

During that time, the 24-year-old played 24 matches in the NBA with Cleveland.

Prior to his stint in the NBA, Travers played 133 NBL games for the Perth Wildcats and Melbourne United.
