It's been described as "the best promotion in world sport", and this season it's bigger than ever, running right across the Hungry Jack's NBL and WNBL regular seasons. The process has changed slightly for 2026/27, but don't worry, it's still just as easy to cash in.

The concept is simple. If a player from the away team misses two consecutive free throws on a single trip to the free throw line during an eligible game, a codeword is revealed on the broadcast and in the stadium. Grab that codeword and you're on your way to a free Hungry Jack's Cheeseburger.

Here's everything you need to know to cash in.

Step-by-step

1. Download the free NBL App and make sure you're subscribed to NBL (or WNBL) email marketing communications. You'll need this to receive your voucher link.
2. Watch an eligible NBL or WNBL regular-season game played in Australia, in-stadium, on Channel 9, or on ESPN via Disney+.
3. Listen and watch for the codeword. If a player from the Away team misses two free throws in a row on a single trip to the line, the codeword will be revealed during the broadcast and at the venue.
4. Enter the codeword in the NBL App before 11:59pm AEST/AEDT on the day the final game of that round is played. You can claim one voucher per registered account per round.
5. Check your inbox. If your entry is successful, you'll get an official email within a day containing your unique link. Open it on your mobile to launch or download the Hungry Jack's App.
6. Sign up or log in. New to the Hungry Jack's App? Register and verify your account via the link in your email. Already have an account? Just log in after opening the app through your unique link.
7. Redeem your Cheeseburger. Find your voucher under Rewards, then either scan the QR code with a crew member at the counter, or add it to your cart in the app (a $1 minimum spend applies to app orders).
