Talking points
Walking wounded
The Brisbane Bullets have been the walking wounded all season and somehow their luck is still getting worse, after Tristan Devers and Alex Ducas picked up minor injuries in their loss to Tasmania.
Terry Taylor returns from suspension to provide much needed support to a team that's decimated by injuries and hopefully that can be enough to spark some energy from a Bullets group who are desperate for some positive results before the end of the season.
Let it Reyne
Reyne Smith is back in the lineup for the Taipans and alongside Jack McVeigh, gives them even more weapons from outside.
In recent weeks, although the results haven't been coming the way they would have liked, numerous players have been stepping up and having big games at the right time.
Whether that's been Mojave King, Lachlan Barker or Kody Stattmann, each game is an opportunity for these soon-to-be free agents to audition for their next role.
What they're saying
Bullets coach Darryl McDonald on the importance of Sunday's game:
“We've already moved on from this game and moved on to Cairns and we just need to find a way to shoot better and score the ball to have any chance.
"Sunday's game is a rivalry game for us and this is our playoff game, this is our Final and there's no excuse to not give it everything, because we don't play again until next Friday after it.
"Whoever we have available, those guys have to come out ready to play and there's no excuses going into this game at home."
Taipans coach Adam Forde on his side's clash with Brisbane:
“We've never had an issue with finding motivation to play hard and we all enjoy going to work every day and having the outlet of playing games of basketball, and a lot of our guys are playing for contracts moving forward too.
"[Now we're in] a playoff for bottom spot. You try not to put too much emphasis on one game over any other, so we'll just treat Sunday's game like any other and we have to be locked in and disciplined."
