Talking points

Full 40-minute performance by Brisbane
The Bullets led by as many as 14 in Thursday's matchup with Illawarra, only to fade in the fourth quarter and lose by double-digits.

Stu Lash's side need to put in a full four quarter performance in front of their home fans, if they are going to keep their slim Finals chances alive.

If they don't, the Bullets could be looking down the barrel of a fifth straight loss.

Perth bounce back
This time last week, the Wildcats were full of confidence after defeating then league-leaders Melbourne United.

Since then, they've lost to both Adelaide and Sydney on their home court.

Those results have seen them drop to fifth on the ladder and another defeat would see them nearly fall out of the six, so the Wildcats will be desperate to return to the winners' list.

What they're saying

Bullets coach Stu Lash on his side's match-up with Perth:
"We're excited to get back in front of our family and friends and members and sponsors, because they show great support to the club.

"Perth is a formidable opponent who are playing good basketball and we're looking forward to the challenge of getting back. We'll review this game and move on to Perth quickly, and we'll get after it."

Wildcats guard Elijah Pepper on moving on from their past two losses:
"We've got to have the memory of a goldfish, so to speak.

"We have got 36 hours until we play that [game in Brisbane]. You can't dwell on a loss.

"That's kind of the good thing about basketball, is you get to play multiple games in a week.

"You can't worry about the last shot, the last play. Just worry about the next one and it'll all work out."
