The New Zealand Breakers are on the verge of qualifying for the inaugural NBL Ignite Cup on the Gold Coast.

With just four games remaining in the first-ever NBL Ignite Cup, six teams remain in the hunt for a spot in the Final.

Unbeaten through three games and leading the ladder on 18 points, the New Zealand Breakers return to action on Wednesday night for their fourth and final game at the State Basketball Centre.

Standing in the way of the Breakers and qualification into the Gold Coast Final on February 22, are the South East Melbourne Phoenix, who currently sit in ninth on 7.5 points after two games.

A win by Petteri Koponen's side on Wednesday would see them become the first team into the Final.

That would leave Adelaide (15 points), Tasmania (14.5), Perth (13) and Melbourne (8.5) vying for the other spot, with the latter needing to claim a maximum seven points against Brisbane in Bendigo to stay in the hunt.

Fans can now secure tickets for the Final that will be played at the Gold Coast Entertainment Centre on February 22, where one team will win $300,000 and the runner-up awarded $100,000.

It is the largest prize pool in NBL history.

Teams remaining: Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, New Zealand, Perth, South East Melbourne.
Teams eliminated: Cairns, Illawarra, Sydney, Tasmania.
