Ignite Cup standings: Kings end tournament on a high

The Sydney Kings recorded their first ever Ignite Cup win on Wednesday, while hurting Adelaide's chances of reaching the Final.
While the Sydney Kings' Ignite Cup run is officially over, having played their four games, they may have inflicted enough pain on the Adelaide 36ers' hopes after their big win on Wednesday night in Canberra.
The 36ers currently sit fourth on the Ignite Cup ladder with eight points, and have two remaining games to try and lock themselves into the inaugural Final on the Gold Coast.
Each game won gives a team three points, where each quarter won provides an additional point to help boost the team’s chances of finishing in the top two.
The New Zealand Breakers are still first, with three wins from three games, for a total of 18 points. They won’t have the chance to officially lock themselves into the Final until January 21, when they play the South East Melbourne Phoenix at the State Basketball Centre.
There are eight total games remaining in the Ignite Cup and both the Phoenix and Cairns Taipans will play three each, while every other team in the league will feature at least once, except for the Kings.
Fans can now secure tickets for the Final that will be played at the Gold Coast Entertainment Centre on February 22, where one team will win $300,000 and the runner-up awarded $100,000. It is the largest prize pool in NBL history.
