JackJumper ruled out for season

The Tasmania JackJumpers announced on Monday that Ben Ayre would miss the remainder of the season with a groin injury.
The Tasmania JackJumpers’ injury toll continues to rise, with the club announcing on Monday guard Ben Ayre will miss the remainder of the season.
Ayre sustained a groin injury during Friday’s loss to Cairns, which saw him miss Sunday’s victory over New Zealand.
The 30-year-old joins Will Magnay, Bryce Hamilton and Sea Macdonald on the JackJumpers’ long-term injury list.
Ayre, who made his Australian Boomers debut late last year, has averaged 6.3 points, 2.1 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game in his first season in Tasmania.
