United star set to make return

Melbourne United have received a massive boost ahead of their Round 19 clash with New Zealand on Sunday.

The club announced on Thursday that two-time reigning NBL Defensive Player of the Year Shea Ili has been cleared to make his return to the court following a hamstring injury.

The two-time NBL champion has been sidelined since Round 13, sustaining the injury during a clash with Illawarra at John Cain Arena.

United have also confirmed that guard Tyson Walker (jaw) has avoided serious injury against Perth and has travelled with the team to New Zealand.

The Round 19 clash, which looms as crucial for both United and the Breakers, tips off at 5.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
