Buckle up for the "Biggest day on the NBL calendar"

A massive NBL Super Sunday features a high-stakes Throwdown in Melbourne before Bryce Cotton’s emotional Perth homecoming.
Head to the couch, settle in and get ready for Super Sunday.
An epic Throwdown, followed by one of the most anticipated games in recent history. You simply don’t want to miss this.
“It’s the biggest day on the NBL calendar this year. It’s probably the biggest weekend on the NBL calendar,” two-time MVP Chris Anstey said on NBL Now.
“This one’s got stories written all over it and I will be settling in to watch every minute.”
Of course, all eyes will be on Bryce Cotton’s return to Perth at 4.30pm AEDT, but not before what looms as one of the most intriguing Throwdowns of all-time.
It’s first versus third at John Cain Arena, and for the Phoenix, the chance to make a statement.
“It still feels like big brother, little brother and it’s something that the Phoenix would desperately love to change this weekend,” Anstey said.
“It’s their home floor. Their own home crowd. It’s going to be a sell-out. I wonder what version of the Phoenix we’ll see.”
Both teams are coming off losses earlier in the round, making the stakes even greater.
“If you’re the Phoenix you might have almost wanted United going across to Perth to have a comfortable win, where they didn’t get beat up,” Anstey continued.
“United coming back with their tails between their legs off probably their worst loss of the season … Chris Goulding two days better with illness.
“It still feels like United are another step above the Phoenix, but the Phoenix every opportunity they get they need to prove to themselves that they can compete against these top two teams.”
Then, it’s onto “the main course”.
“I never thought that I would say that this Melbourne Throwdown is just the precursor to the main game that we’ll all be settling in for over in Perth.”
It’s the five-time MVP and three-time champion’s emotional homecoming. The Red Army in full voice. Second versus fourth. So much history. So much passion.
Sunday Hoops is must-watch.
