Talking points

Hinton’s ultimate challenge

Brisbane Bullets guard Nate Hinton has made a name for himself through seven rounds of this NBL season, especially with his defensive impact.

Now Hinton faces the ultimate test: trying to limit six-time MVP Bryce Cotton.

It’s rare for a direct one-on-one matchup to limit Cotton’s impact, but Hinton will be hoping his athleticism and defensive smarts can help him lead the way and get his team the win.

Big man battle

Tyrell Harrison is back from an ankle scare, and while he is still working his way back to his best, he is an important piece of the Bullets’ puzzle and one of the best bigs in the League when he’s firing.

It will be enticing to see him lock horns with Nick Rakocevic, who has been a shining light for Adelaide so far, stepping into the starting role with ease.

There are some strong cases on Most Improved Player watch this season, but Rakocevic’s jump from solid bench contributor to one of the most productive bigs in the League cannot be overlooked.
