Talking points
Brockington’s found his groove
Petteri Koponen called for more from Izaiah Brockington last week and the import guard delivered across the Round 5 double.
His aggression was evident in the Breakers' impressive win over Tasmania and then he continued to put up big numbers in a tough loss to United.
Which Jaylen Adams shows up?
When the Bullets needed him the most, Jaylen Adams found his MVP level form and nearly single-handedly led his team to a comeback win against United.
Adams has been inconsistent to begin NBL26 and Bullets fans will be hoping they get his very best against the Breakers.
What they're saying
Brisbane coach Stu Lash on the close-fought loss to Melbourne:
"We do have to be better with the ball still, but it got real sloppy for both teams down the stretch so it's just tough and I felt like we left it all out there, and had we made a couple more free throws it could have been different.
"Even early in the game we missed some easy layups and we were down 12 or 14, but it felt like it was only six or seven with the way we were playing, and we wanted to just hang in there before cleaning up a few things at half-time.
"We were locked in and the guys played their arse off and that's what they are going to continue to do."
Koponen on import Rob Baker II:
“Obviously, we need something more from him.
“He's one of the best shooters we have, and that's what he can do. [But] we need to find him in better positions, to try to help him to integrate.”
