Cadee backs Bullets' finals chances

Former NBL Sixth Man of the Year Jason Cadee believes the Brisbane Bullets are "definitely" still in the finals mix.
It's a big few days for the Brisbane Bullets. They lost star Casey Prather to a season-ending knee injury, before parting ways with former MVP Jaylen Adams soon after.
Despite some significant setbacks, the Bullets didn't drop their heads and pushed competition front-runners Melbourne all the way on Saturday night, before ultimately losing by six points.
Among all this, the Bullets brought back Javon Freeman-Liberty and have reportedly about to strike a deal with American forward Terry Taylor.
And with just one game until the FIBA Break, which is a home fixture against South East Melbourne on Thursday, one former Bullet believes Stu Lash's side are well and truly still in the Finals mix.
"They definitely can [still make Finals]," Jason Cadee said via Tuesday's episode of NBL Now.
"There's still a lot of time left and there's a lot of games. The fact this [the changes] is happening now as we go into a FIBA Break will definitely help that group."
Cadee, who played 147 games for Brisbane across five seasons, continued by saying he's been impressed by the heart shown by the Bullets this season, despite all the adversity they've faced, which has included injuries to Mitch Norton, Sam McDaniel, Jacob Holt and Tohi Smith-Milner.
"You saw some guys that really care about the jersey and the club stand up [despite the adversity]," Cadee said.
"I think we get lost in this sometimes. It's sometimes having the right guys in there that genuinely care about what goes on around that place."
The Bullets and Phoenix Round 10 fixture tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
