Perth is awaiting an update on Dylan Windler after the Wildcats import limped off late in their Game 1 Playoff loss to Sydney.

With just three days in between Playoff games and their season on the line, the Perth Wildcats will be sweating on the fitness of import Dylan Windler.

The American wing injured his foot in the final seconds of the Wildcats’ one-point loss to Sydney at Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday night.

The injury, which forced Windler to be helped to the locker room after full-time, is one Windler has been managing over recent weeks as he battles with plantar fasciitis.

When asked if it was just a flare-up and if Windler would be right for Game 2, coach John Rillie was hopeful.

"He's been managing that really well over the last X amount of time," Rillie said.

"In a game like that, someone's going to be really banged up, and hopefully it's not too bad, and he's done a great job at managing it, so hopefully he'll be able to get back for Saturday."

This comes just days after Windler explained he’s been dealing with pain in his foot for the final few rounds of the regular season.

“I’ve been pretty banged up for the last month,” he said.

“I had a little tear in my plantar fascia, and I was dealing with that foot pain.”

Perth hosts Sydney in Game 2 of the Playoff Series on Saturday, tipping off at 8pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
