.jpg)
Round 12 of Beat The Coach brings another exciting weekend of SuperCoach NBL action, with six teams doubling up and a host of in-form players ready to deliver big scores.
The NBL26 landscape changed over the weekend, with some season defining results and terrific individual performances.
With six teams taking the court twice this weekend, many stars will look to continue their strong runs of form heading into the round.
Damon Lowery was back to some of his best form in Round 11, falling to just 1,228 coaches.
Lowery is going to be difficult to take down once again, so you’ll need to put together your best lineup in Round 12 of Beat The Coach, presented by Choice Hotels.

Nathan Sobey – South East Melbourne Phoenix ($330,400)
Tyson Walker – Melbourne United ($295,500)
Dylan Windler – Perth Wildcats ($220,400)
- Names listed alphabetically
Tyrell Harrison has continued to maintain his strong run of form for the Brisbane Bullets and has not dropped under 20 SuperCoach points since Round 4 this year. He’s a safe pick over two games this weekend as always.
His new teammate Terry Taylor put in a strong defensive display in his Bullets debut and scored 21 SuperCoach points in the contest. Taylor presents himself as a solid point of difference selection at $277,000.
Melbourne United had a disappointing weekend in Round 11, losing two huge matchups against Perth and South East Melbourne. However, their import trio of Milton Doyle, Tyson Walker, and Jesse Edwards remain reliable picks heading into Round 12.
Doyle finished the weekend with a team high of 51 SuperCoach points, while Walker and Edwards finished with 34 points each and should both recover well following a slightly down scoring week.
The Perth star duo of Kristian Doolittle and Jo Lual Acuil Jr. were extremely impressive in their games against the top two sides last week, scoring 76 and 60 SuperCoach points respectively for the round.
David Duke Jr. and Dylan Windler supported well, with 48 and 43 points respectively, and would both be strong picks for coaches as a slightly cheaper alternative to their aforementioned teammates.
The South East Melbourne Phoenix capped off the weekend with a huge win in Throwdown 31 and had several strong performances throughout the round.
Nathan Sobey led the way once again with 80 SuperCoach points for the round, while John Brown III and Wes Iwundu were both terrific with 70 and 66 points respectively.
Jordan Hunter also continued his impressive run, finishing the round with 54 SuperCoach points. Hunter has averaged 33.5 points over his last four games, seeing his price rise from $169,000 to $253,900.
With the Kings playing their first double game weekend since Round 7, Kendric Davis will be a popular pick for coaches in Round 12. Davis has averaged just over 36 SuperCoach points per game in his last four outings and should be in for a big total this weekend.
Averaging 29.4 SuperCoach points and finishing with as many as 52 in a single game this year, Xavier Cooks has also been very solid for the Kings and would be a strong pick at just $308,300.
Bryce Hamilton and Will Magnay were both fantastic for Tasmania last week, with 37 SuperCoach points each in their game against the New Zealand Breakers.
David Johnson started slow after his return from injury, but has enjoyed a strong pair of recent performances with 55 SuperCoach points across his last two games.
Finally, Josh Bannan slipped to his lowest score since Round 5 with just 20 SuperCoach points against the Breakers, but had an extremely reliable run prior and should be expected to bounce back this weekend.
Budget-friendly picks:
Akech Aliir – South East Melbourne Phoenix ($117,100)
Ben Ayre – Tasmania JackJumpers ($148,100)
Sunday Dech – Perth Wildcats ($72,600)
Finn Delany – Melbourne United ($200,900)
Tristan Devers – Brisbane Bullets ($98,600)
Jaylin Galloway – Sydney Kings ($186,300)
Tanner Krebs – Melbourne United ($138,300)
Fabijan Krslovic – Melbourne United ($162,200)
Bul Kuol – Sydney Kings ($206,300)
Nick Marshall – Tasmania JackJumpers ($177,600)
Dakota Mathias – Brisbane Bullets ($176,000)
Sam McDaniel – Brisbane Bullets ($155,800)
DJ Mitchell – South East Melbourne Phoenix ($79,200)
Elijah Pepper – Perth Wildcats ($150,700)
-Names listed alphabetically
Sam McDaniel returned from an extended stint on the sidelines in Round 11, playing 21 minutes against the Adelaide 36ers. Provided he maintains the same level of minutes, his score of 9 SuperCoach points should improve as he settles back into the side.
Tristan Devers and Dakota Mathias are both strong picks off the back of last weekend’s performance too, with Devers scoring a team high 22 SuperCoach points and Mathias following closely with 19 SuperCoach points for the game.
Tanner Krebs finished with a big total in Round 11, largely thanks to a career best performance against the Wildcats which contributed 32 of his 46 SuperCoach points for the weekend.
Fabijan Krslovic and Finn Delany were also impressive, putting up solid totals of 40 and 32 SuperCoach points respectively over the weekend.
Elijah Pepper continues to be a strong pick in his starting role for the Wildcats, finishing with 34 SuperCoach points in Round 11, while Sunday Dech played well against Melbourne United with 15 SuperCoach points helping him to a 21 point total for the weekend.
Akech Aliir enjoyed a huge minutes increase in Round 11, averaging 26 minutes per game and finishing with a massive 61 SuperCoach points. At just $117,100, he’s definitely a pick to consider if he can keep hold of the role he played last weekend.
DJ Mitchell’s insane finish to the game against Melbourne United saw him end the round with 21 SuperCoach points. He’ll take plenty of momentum out of the performance and could be one to consider at just $79,200 if he is afforded more on the back of his last game.
Jaylin Galloway and Bul Kuol continue to play an important role for the Kings and were both very impressive last week. Galloway finished Wednesday’s game with 25 SuperCoach points, while Kuol followed closely with 23.
Ben Ayre averages just over 12 SuperCoach points per game but is no stranger to a huge performance as evidenced by his season high 30 point SuperCoach display just one week prior.
Nick Marshall has been a consistent performer this season for the JackJumpers, averaging 16.9 SuperCoach points per game. He’s a reliable pick and works well for the budget at just $177,600.
Tempting single-game choices:
Andrew Andrews – Cairns Taipans ($291,800)
Bryce Cotton – Adelaide 36ers ($491,000)
Parker Jackson-Cartwright – New Zealand Breakers ($408,800)
JaVale McGee – Illawarra Hawks ($431,800)
Jack McVeigh – Cairns Taipans ($385,400)
-Names listed alphabetically
Bryce Cotton was on fire in his return to Perth, finishing with 63 SuperCoach points for the outing. His price of $491,000 makes it a hard pick to justify for just one game, but one that could pay dividends given the form he’s in and the stakes of their matchup against Melbourne United.
Andrew Andrews was impressive in the absence of Jack McVeigh, finishing with 43 SuperCoach points. If McVeigh returns, he’s probably the sensible single game pick out of the two, but don’t rule out Andrews if he is the one that needs to lead the way.
JaVale McGee was the highest scoring player in Round 11, with a huge 102 SuperCoach points for the weekend. He has a tough matchup on the way against Tyrell Harrison, but the scoring potential is undeniable with an average of 44.7 points this season.
Parker Jackson-Cartwright put the Breakers on his back last Wednesday to deliver them another Ignite Cup win and followed it up with 52 SuperCoach points in a win over the JackJumpers.
With the form Jackson-Cartwright and the Breakers are in, it’s hard to rule out another massive performance from the superstar point guard.
