Bogut: Stop crying, it's sport

Andrew Bogut has dismissed the backlash to Brian Goorjian’s sideline clash as a normal part of professional basketball.
Andrew Bogut has come to the defence of Brian Goorjian, likening the heated exchange with Owen Foxwell to what he described as an “everyday thing in the NBA”.
The former Boomers centre took to Instagram to share his view on the second-quarter confrontation between the Sydney Kings coach and the South East Melbourne Phoenix young gun, during which Goorjian was clearly heard on the broadcast directing expletives at the 22-year-old.
Phoenix coach Josh King was highly critical of Goorjian’s conduct post-game, while the former Boomers’ mentor maintained he was responding to taunts from Foxwell.

According to Bogut, however, moments like these are simply a by-product of the emotion that comes with elite-level sport.
“For those crying, this is an everyday thing in the @nba,” he said via Instagram Stories.
“Emotions are high in sport, there is no HR to cry to … the same people complain athletes are robots.
“If the @nbl want to stop trash talk and fine ppl [people] they will make 100’s of thousands of dollars per game.”
Bogut made headlines last week after suggesting the Adelaide 36ers’ players were meeting to discuss the future of head coach Mike Wells.
