He may have just won an NBL championship with the Sydney Kings, but Bul Kuol has already labelled his new home as a “match made in heaven”.
The five-year NBL veteran, who has established himself as one of the League’s top defenders, this week penned a two-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers.
In his introductory video to the Sixers fans, the 2024 South Sudanese Olympian expressed how excited he was to play in the City of Churches.
“Hello, Sixers fans, this is Bul. I have to admit, Adelaide’s always been my favourite place to play in,” Kuol said.
“I've been in the league five years and it hasn't changed one bit, and now I get to call it home.
“You guys are the most consistent, the most passionate, the most electrifying [fans], and it's a match made in heaven because that's the same energy I bring to the game, that same fire.
“I look forward to getting to know all of you.
“It's going be a process with me [due to my injury]. It’s going to take time so I need you guys to be patient but know this, when the time comes man let's just wait and see [the results].”
Kuol joins six-time MVP Bryce Cotton, Zylan Cheatham, Flynn Cameron, Isaac Humphries, Nick Rakocevic, Isaac White and Ben Griscti on Mike Wells’ roster for the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 season.
