With 15.4 seconds on the clock, the Wollongong Hawks trailed the Adelaide 36ers 108-106 in Game 3 of their 2000-01 Playoff Series.
In one of the most dramatic finishes in NBL history, the Hawks needed a stop and a quick score if they were to have any chance of reaching their first-ever Grand Final Series.
Much to the joy of the Hawks fans, Damon Lowery played the hero, which springboarded Wollongong to their maiden title.
