Former NBL Next Star Josh Giddey has been named in the prestigious Forbes Australia 30 Under 30 for 2025.
The impact NBL alum Josh Giddey is making on and off the court has been recognised recently by Forbes Australia.
The former Adelaide 36ers NBL Next Star has been named as part of the Forbes Australia 2025 30 Under 30 list, spotlighting 30 young innovators, creators, athletes and entrepreneurs who are reshaping their industries and influencing the future of business, culture and society.
Giddey, who is currently enjoying a career season with the Chicago Bulls, is one of five athletes on the list, joining Gout Gout (Athletics), Minjee Lee (Golf), Molly Picklum (Surfing) and Nick Daicos (AFL).
“The second 30 Under 30 list captures the extraordinary pace at which young Australians are shaping the world around them,” Forbes Australia editor in chief, Sarah O’Carrol said in a statement.
“Whether in AI, space tech, sport or the creative industries, this cohort reflects ambition, global perspective and an unrelenting drive to make an impact.
“The extraordinary members of our 30 Under 30 don’t just spot a problem or see an opportunity, they assume instinctively that they can be the ones to solve it. Their sheer self belief, combined with being a digital native and the naivety of youth, becomes a competitive advantage. They don’t see the barriers. They press ahead in full throttle, and in doing so they’re reshaping the future of business.”
In an interview with Forbes Australia, the former Oklahoma City draft pick explained how he wanted to be remembered once he calls full time on his career - the 23-year-old said “as someone who did things the right way, on and off the floor.”
