Landing on their feet: 'Cats vow to claw back

The Perth Wildcats are adopting a “memory of a goldfish” mindset as they look to bounce back quickly in Brisbane against the Bullets on Sunday.
They may have just suffered their equal-biggest loss at RAC Arena, but Perth Wildcats guard Elijah Pepper has urged his team to quickly put the result behind them.
Pepper finished the Round 12 loss to Sydney with seven points, three rebounds and three assists, and believes the focus now must shift to the response, rather than the margin of defeat.
The Wildcats take on theBullets at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Sunday, attempting to end a two-game skid.
"We've got to have the memory of a goldfish, so to speak," Pepper said in the post-game press conference.
"We have got 36 hours until we play that [game in Brisbane]. You can't dwell on a loss.
"That's kind of the good thing about basketball, is you get to play multiple games in a week.
"You can't worry about the last shot, the last play. Just worry about the next one and it'll all work out."
Looking ahead, Perth coach John Rillie reiterated Pepper's point and said his team need to come ready against a desperate Bullets side, following a 29-point defeat on Friday night.
"We have show up and be ready to fight [on Sunday]," Rillie said.
"I feel like for the first 20 minutes we really competed against Sydney [like we did for 35 minutes against Adelaide].
"We won numerous statistical categories, but lost shooting percentage, which is a big one. It's hard to win when you're not making shots, which in turn puts heat on your defence.
"We just need to do a better job of maintaining our rhythm [throughout the whole game]."
Sunday's fixture against the Bullets tips off at 4.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN and 10 Drama.
