The Perth Wildcats have signed David Duke Jr. as their new import guard.
The Perth Wildcats have signed David Duke Jr. as their new import guard.
The 6’4 American combo guard joins John Rillie's roster for the remainder of the 2025-26 Hungry Jack’s NBL season, joining fellow imports Kristian Doolittle and Dylan Windler.
Providence College alum Duke Jr, who replaces the recently released Mason Jones, spent four seasons in the NBA, where he was most recently a two-way player for the San Antonio Spurs.
During that stint in Texas, the 26-year-old averaged 17 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for Austin in the 2024-25 NBA G-League.
In the NBA, Duke Jr made 45 appearances for the Brooklyn Nets and 10 for San Antonio.
Wildcats general manager of basketball operations and COO Danny Mills said the club is excited by what Duke Jr will bring to the group.
“We’re excited to welcome David to Perth," Mills said.
"He brings four years of NBA and GLeague experience, great positional size and is a high-level athlete who competes on both ends of the court.
"His ability to get downhill and put pressure on the rim is an attribute we’ve been looking for, and his versatility will allow him to contribute to winning in multiple different lineups.”
The Wildcats, who are 4-4 on the season, next play an Ignite Cup fixture against Tasmania at MyState Arena.
The Indigenous Round clash tips off at 7.30pm AEDT on Wednesday, live on ESPN.
